The Winter's Tale
By William Shakespeare
Directed by David Frank
A fit of jealousy sets into motion a chain of events that could only come from the Bard. King Leontes orders Polixenes – his friend and falsely accused cuckholder – murdered, and ultimately abandons his infant daughter for fear that she is not his child.
But sixteen years allow for plenty of time to repent. And as Leontes’ long-lost daughter (who is alive and well, living as a shepherdess) finds love with the banished Polixenes’ son, there will be plenty of work to be done to mend familial fences and reunite friends and lovers.
