The Comedy of Errors
By William Shakespeare
Directed by William Brown
After losing his wife and one of his twin sons (and his young servant) in a shipwreck 25 years earlier, unfortunate Egeon receives a death sentence for crossing the border into Ephesus. But his tale of loss moves the Duke to postpone the execution, giving Egeon another shot at finding his family and saving his life.
Meanwhile, both the twins and their twin servants are not only alive, they are all in Ephesus. When one brother is mistaken for another (which isn’t difficult since both sets of twins are using the same names and wearing nearly identical clothing), the fallout includes comic complications, accidental seductions and, ultimately, joyous reunions.
