Forbidden Broadway: Special Victims Unit
By Gerard Allesandrini
Forbidden Broadway began in 1982 as a showcase cabaret act in a supper club on New York's upper west side. Since then, it has changed venues three times, and has become NYC's longest running musical revue. This edition, which spoofs everything from " Annie" to "Wicked", has captured a Drama Desk Award for Best Musical Revue and was recognized recently with a Tony Honors Award for being part of the theater community for more than 25 years. Entertaining for all ages, this wildly energized cast of 5 plus a piano and dozens of costume and set changes proves that no show is safe from the Special Victims Unit!
