The Water Engine

A radio play set at the 1934 Century of Progress Exposition at the Chicago World's Fair. The story centers around the "little" man, inventor Charles Lang, who is trying to change society for good by designing an engine that runs on water. This engine is a mortal threat to the oil industry. Oil company lawyers must obtain the plans or Lang himself must be stopped. Lang makes his own decision to save the plans for the future at a very high cost to himself and his family. The story resonates, and fairly shakes the ground we stand on, today.
