The Spitfire Grill
By James Valcq & Fred Alley
Directed by Jim Butchart
With only a photo of the quaint little town, and a desire for a new future, Percy Talbott heads straight to Gilead, Wisconsin, after getting out of jail. Upon arriving, she discovers that this hibernating little town is in desperate need of awakening. Together, Percy and Hannah, owner of Spitfire Grill, begin to bring a new life to the town, the residents and themselves. With music and lyrics both written by Wisconsin natives James Valcq and Fred Ally, the engaging melodies add a flavor that will touch anyone's heart. NY Times calls this musical comedy a "soul satisfying . . . work of theatrical resourcefulness. A compelling story that flows with grace and carries the rush of anticipation. It is penetrated by honesty and it glows."
