Josie Hogan, a tall, rough-hewn Irish-American earth mother, and her father, the wily Phil Hogan, play host over a long, besotted night to the landlord of their Connecticut farm, James Tyrone, a third-rate Broadway actor. As father and daughter plot to deceive the drunken Tyrone into selling them the farm, an unexpected and miraculous love blossoms between Josie and James. A Moon for the Misbegotten will feature James DeVita in one of the American theatre's greatest roles, James Tyrone.
