Auntie Mame

By Jerome Lawrence & Robert E. Lee

Directed by Tom Countryman

This wonderful big-cast comedy (not to be confused with the musical version of the same story-Mame) has a great storyline about families of all definitions, finding balance and the value of fun and excitement in life. Our lead character is a larger-than-life eccentric who surrounds herself with interesting people and family. The story extends over three decades including the 30s and 40s. Costumes and scene changes will play a big part in the production and the big cast of all ages will be fun to watch up close in the Village Players Theater. We welcome Tom Countryman from Edgerton as an SVP Director for the first time although his experience includes acting in and directing with his most recent Stoughton production directing Man of La Mancha.

Performances: October 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 2005 at 7:30 p.m.
