Lee's stage adaptation of the best selling novel by Patrick Dennis, the story of a recently orphaned boy who goes to live with his eccentric, but loving, Auntie Mame, whose creed is "Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death." Always armed with a colorful dress, a spectacular hat and an acerbic quip, the flamboyant, vibrant socialite Mame Dennis is the quintessential roaring 20's flapper, with a huge desire to live life to the fullest. The relationship between Mame and Patrick speaks volumes about what love should be, completely accepting of the other person, even if you don't always agree with them.
