Kanopy Dances Americana concert

Directed by Artistic Director Lisa Andrea Thurrell

This lively concert will feature choreography by NYC artists Stanley Love and Ede Thurrell and Kanopy choreographers Anca Cristina Botez, Robert E. Cleary and Lisa Andrea Thurrell. Reflecting the theme of Americana, music for the production includes works by American performers and composers: Fred Astaire, Blast, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Kronos Quartet, Eartha Kitt, Cole Porter, Kealy Smith, Mel Torme, Barry White and The Love Unlimited Orchestra, and Vincent Youmans.

Performers are Kanopy Dance Company members Heidi Bakken, Anna Cristina Botez, Robert E. Cleary, Erica Akiko Howard, Brianne Schenkel, Shannon Cavanaugh Stiemke, Lisa Andrea Thurrell and Apprentices Wade Austin-Whitehead, Becky Fettig, Jason Foster, Felipe Mendoza, Erica Pinigis, Lilly Gomez Saase, Katherine Sainsbury and Kristin Vollmer and Surprise Guests.
