Wisconsin Burlesque Association
The Wisconsin Burlesque Association (WIBA) is a non-profit organization based in Madison, Wisconsin, that is dedicated to the art of Burlesque. We believe that Burlesque can help positively impact someone's life whether it's through body positivity, gender identity, or giving a voice to the voiceless. Burlesque is an art form of true beauty and WIBA is determined to spread the knowledge of Burlesque with performances and classes throughout the state of Wisconsin.
WIBA was founded in the spring of 2015 by Mercury Stardust. He reached out to every Wisconsin Burlesque troupe he knew: The Peach Pies, Story & Spice Burlesque, Les Cougars, Cream City Cabaret, and Certified Sexy Burlesque. The goal: to form a group that would produce large state-wide shows. Thanks to WIBA, two large-scale productions have been produced in Madison and we plan to support, produce, and sponsor many more to come!
