Leslie W. Johnson Theatre

The Leslie W. Johnson Theatre was built in conjunction with the Sheboygan Area School District. When the SASD decided to build a third middle school, Horace Mann Middle School, the Sheboygan Theatre Company (formerly the Community Players) requested that the auditorium be designed with community theatre needs in mind. As part of their bargain, the Players undertook a major public subscription drive in which over 700 local citizens and business groups donated over $65,000 to help equip the new facility.
