After Hurrican Katrina, Sylvia and Etienne return to a French Quarter littered with discarded refrigerators each bearing graffiti: "Voodoo Today Here Now 5". Anxious to know its meaning, they invite a young couple, John and Marie, who never evacuated from new Orleans, to a cocktail party on their balcony. John and Marie have their own motivation in accepting the invitation.
