"The Wake of Liam Doherty" and "Hell's Bed 'N Breakfast"
By Siobhan Edge and Kim Carney
Directed by N-dig0
Liam Doherty has passed on and it was a shorter life than expected. It seems that all the women in town are coming to the wake to pay their respects and to gossip about the other women who are coming to see him. Siobhan Edge’s new comedy, The Wake of Liam Doherty, will have audiences rolling in the aisles as one secret after another is revealed at the poor man’s wake.
Paired with The Wake of Liam Doherty will be a short one-act play called Hell’s Bed ‘N Breakfast, a comedy by Kim Carney about two people who make a macabre discovery while looking at a potential fixer-upper house for a future bed and breakfast. It was the winning entry in Broom Street Theater’s first-ever one-act play contest.
Both plays will be directed by Broom Street Veteran, N-Dig0. They will open on March 5 and run through April 11.
