The Vintage Murders
By Susan Haley
Directed by Jeannie Gross
We are gathered together for the very last wine auction that the Tortellini Brothers’ Winery may ever hold due to the impending sale of the estate. The Tortellini Brothers Winery was established in 1909 just outside of Fort Atkinson, WI, by Frank Tortellini (he had no brothers in actuality). They produce very rare and very coveted cabernet sauvignons. Up until his death from natural causes 6 months ago, Frank’s only grandson, Georgio, ran the winery.
The trouble all started with Georgio’s death. He left behind a Will (complete with a “no contest” clause). It named his 2 daughters, Toni & Olive, as equal beneficiaries and his driver, Carmine Blanca, as executor of his $25 million dollar estate. Now Carmine has decided to sell the winery to the very wealthy Tuesday family. This is good news for some, bad news for others. Let the intrigue begin!
