The Good Doctor
By Neil Simon adapting Anton Chekhov
Directed by Lauren Love
Chekhov's short stories come to life through the Writer/Narrator's imagination and Simon's signature wit, charm and physically robust comic playfulness. Arranged as a series of vignettes, The Good Doctor, pokes gentle fun at our fears and foibles by finding the slightly absurdly comic in the everyday hurdles we face - the extraction of a tooth, the demands of irrational customers and authoritative employers, the accidental sneeze or the quest for a perfect meal. This collection of laugh out loud funny, wistfully poignant and sweetly wry stories will be accompanied by live musicians in a beautiful outdoor setting overlooking the Baraboo Hills. Picnics are heartily encouraged.
