The Big Friendly Giant
Adapted by David Wood from the book by Roald Dahl
Directed by Susan Nanning-Sorenson
The Big Friendly Giant (BFG) and Sophie team up to save the children of England from the big bad giants, Bloodbottler, Fleshlumpeater and others who are planning to go flush-bunking off to London to swollomp them! Luckily, Sophie and BFG are assisted by the Queen of England, the Heads of the Army and Air Force and many others! Join us for this delightfully funny and imaginative play, based on the book by Roald Dahl with many roles for all ages and experience levels, including creative puppetry!
Ticket purchase is not required for this performance. Family and friends are encouraged to come and enjoy all the hard work our actors have done to put on a great show! Donations will be gladly accepted, with 100% of proceeds receiving a matching donation from First Act toward our scholarship fund!
From novice to seasoned actor, our after-school program offers a well-rounded approach to children's theatre. Audition skills are introduced and refined. Creative movement, vocal control, memory, cooperation and more are fostered through weekly theatre games. Participants develop and create sets and props during their downtime from rehearsal. And of course, all the fun culminates in a fully-costumed performance where they can't wait to show off all they've learned!
