The BED - A Theatre LILA Invention
Directed by Jessica Lanius & James DeVita
It’s the place we come to exhausted, and leave refreshed. The setting for both dreams and nightmares; passionate embraces and cold shoulders. From slumber parties to intimate conversations in the dark, from the crib to the hospital gurney, the bed is central to all of our experiences.
It is also a blank canvas where playwrights from all over the country will connect with Theatre LILA’s actors, directors and choreographers to create a multimedia evening of amazing stories using comedy, drama, dance, poetry and film.
In collaboration with the Union Theater, Theatre LILA is proud to present its third world premiere in as many seasons. If you loved The Suitcase Dreams or Trash, then don’t miss The Bed, which is sure to be another exciting collage of innovative theater, movement and music.
