Broom Street Theater's newest comedy, "Tales From the Dork Side", is the follow-up to Brian Wild's 2007 hit "Dork Side of the Moon". It catches up with our heroes Scott, Corey, and Raven two years following their adventures on the lunar surface.

Scott Anthony Herrick, now a busy artist for Lightning Comics, finds that he's been invited to the reading of a will for a mysterious relative known as the Colonel whom he knows nothing about. Prodded by Raven and Corey, Scott reluctantly agrees to go despite the fact there are deadlines approaching. The trio, along with Scott's sister Sheila, her son Damien, and her best friend Nicole, find themselves at creepy Herrick Manor alongside an assortment of truly bizarre relatives who insist they take place in an annual search for the missing Herrick family treasure known as “The Hunt”.

But when the things they fear most begin to manifest themselves, it becomes obvious that someone or something does not want them anywhere near Herrick Manor or the treasure, and the hunters soon find they've become the hunted.

A whacked-out exploration of the ties that bind and gag, this fast-paced comedy explores the nature of family and family tradition and is set against the backdrop of a spooky old southern mansion. Weaving the natural, the supernatural, and the absurd together in a comedic blend of horror and science fiction, Tales From the Dork Side is an adventure of spook-tacular proportions.

"Tales from the Dork Side" opens on September 25 at the Broom Street Theater building, 1119 Williamson Street. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 and Sundays at 2:00.
