Sun Prairie Civic Theatre dares you to step into the shadows and audition for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street — a razor-sharp tale of revenge, madness, and meat pies (don’t ask what’s in them).

We’re looking for bold, brave souls to bring this thrilling Sondheim classic to life. Think you’ve got the voice to haunt Fleet Street or the charm to bake up something sinister? Then join us… It's bloody good theatre. And we want you in the chair. Men 16+, women 18+.

What to Prepare
Come with a prepared cutting of a song by Stephen Sondheim that's no more than 45 seconds long. Songs from Sweeney Todd are welcome.

An accompanist will be available — bring clearly marked sheet music.
Prefer a track? We’ll have a Bluetooth speaker ready for you to connect to.
Auditions include your song and readings from the script.

Rehearsals & Performances

Rehearsals begin August 11th and will be held Sunday - Wednesday and Friday evenings until Tech Week. There will also be 3 vocal rehearsals late July/early August.
Performances are October 3, 4, 10 & 11 at 7 PM and October 5 & 12 at 2 PM at Central Heights Middle School Theater in Sun Prairie.
Call Times for performances are typically 1-1.5 hours prior to the performance
