Neil Simon's Rumors begins at the anniversary party of Myra and Charlie Brock. When the first guests arrive, they find that the host (a political candidate) is in dire straights and his wife is missing. As more partygoers arrive, including the hosts lawyer it is decided that it is time for a cover-up. As each couple realizes the implications of the matter at hand, more stories are concocted and rumors fly. Enter two police officers and the action, humor and hilarity escalates into a fast paced comedy.
