Night at the Wax Museum-the Musical
By Craig Sodaro
Directed by Chris Renner
The story tells of a group of students who failed their history class and are accompanying their summer-school teacher on a field trip to a family-owned wax museum. An incantation brings the wax figures to life: King Henry VIII falls for Cleopatra; his jealous wife, Anne Boleyn, hires John Adams, the second president of the United States, as her divorce attorney; and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid search for treasure in competition against Blackbeard, Madame Chang, and Mary Read. Better yet, the villainous landlord is trying to get out of the lease and close the museum. Watch out: Lizzie Borden is also there; but hey, the museum doesn’t have a wax figurine of her?!
