"Les Miserables"
By Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schonberg (based
Directed by Director Doug Instenes, Music Director Greg Berg
Jean Valjean spends 19 years in jail for stealing a loaf of bread. After his release, he breaks parole in hopes of starting anew, initiating both a lifelong struggle for redemption and a relentless pursuit by Inspector Javert. Set in revolutionary 19th-century France, Valjean joins a group of students making their last stand at a street barricade. "Les Mis" is the world's longest-running musical. The powerful score includes "I Dreamed a Dream," "One Day More," "On My Own" and "Do You Hear the People Sing?"
