Laughter on the 23rd Floor
By Neil Simon
Directed by Ron Wilkie
Laugh along with the stars and writers of this 1950s TV variety show based on Neil Simon’s own early career as a junior writer. Local director, Ron Wilkie, brings us this ensemble comedy filled with the antics of the stressed-out staff writers working to one-up each other. Watch as star comic, Max Prince, battles the naysaying executives over his sophisticated humor. Or so he says. You’ll be laughing out loud at this 1993 Broadway show.

Please research the show’s characters and choose one to focus your audition toward. You’ll be asked to read from the script and to tell us something about that character’s real-life role and persona that you find interesting or comical.
