Laced
By Samantha Mueller
Directed by Chris Diorio
It’s the morning after the 2016 election. A gay bar in Florida has been vandalized. Three twenty-something bartenders gather to attempt to piece together the events of the night before. Fiery and poetic, Laced ferociously celebrates the spaces in which we find our truest selves and the spectrum of ways the LGBTQ community comes together in the face of hate.

CAT - they/them/theirs, 20-30s, any race/ethnicity, non-binary; witchy femme drag extraordinaire--may or may not have a glitter beard--and bartender. A bit of a cynic

Auditions
Actors will be asked to cold read selections from the script, either paired with other auditioners or as a monologue. There will be no need to prepare ahead of time.
Resumes and headshots are not required but will be accepted. The production team may take a photo of you once you arrive to help us during the selection process. Photos will be deleted once casting is complete.
Health and Safety
Current StageQ policy is that all production staff, crew, and cast meet the CDC’s definition of “up-to-date”on your COVID-19 vaccines--meaning you have completed your primary series and received the most recent booster dose recommended for you by the CDC--by the time rehearsals begin. Those wishing to audition do not have to provide proof of vaccination status, but if cast, proof must be provided to the Production Manager before the first rehearsal. Those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons will be allowed to participate but are asked to contact the show’s producer ahead of time. Masks will be optional at auditions, though actors should be prepared to wear them during the early rehearsal process of the show and up through the beginning of tech week if necessary.
