Based of the classic movie, White Christmas, embodies a era of post WWII and the entertainment that made it popular. The show is a great story about 2 friends, 2 sisters, and a general who doesn't know what to do without the army.

So many classic songs are in this show, including, "White Christmas," "Count Your Blessings," "Sisters," and "Blue Skies."

Initial Auditions: October 12, 6:30 pm, after you audition you will be free to leave.
Callbacks (all will be asked back): October 13, 6:30 pm.

Location: Horace Mann Middle School – Leslie W. Johnson Theatre, 2820 Union Ave, Sheboygan.
Rehearsals Begin: Friday, October 14 from 6PM-8PM (We will do a Read Thru of the Show)
Production Dates: December 2-4 & 7-10, 2011

LEAD ROLES (2 male, 2 female)
Bob Wallace - late 20's to mid 30's, a superb singer with a crooning style who moves well.
Phil Davis - late 20's to mid 30's, strong jazz and tap-dancing needed - a song-and-dance comic performer
Betty Haynes - mid to late 20's, a female singer of quiet beauty and charm who must move well.
Judy Haynes - early 20's, strong jazz and tap-dancing needed - a major song-and-dance performer.

* IF Auditioning for any of the leads you are asked to prepare 3 things for the audition—an Uptempo Broadway Song, a Ballad Broadway Song and a 1 Minute Monologue is optional but recommended.

SUPPORTING ROLES (4 female, 4 male)
General Henry Waverly - late 50's to mid 60's, mostly non-singing.
Martha Watson - late 40's to mid 60's, a winning, appealing character-comedienne.
Susan Waverly - 9 years old, she must have an excellent belt voice and be able to move well.
Ralph Sheldrake - mid to late 30's, old army buddy of Bob and Phil’s, a producer for the Ed Sullivan Show
Rita and Rhoda - mid 20's to early 30's, two chorus girls who flirt with Phil
Ezekiel Foster - mid 40's to late 50's, who helps out at the inn, wry sense of humor
Mike - mid 20's to late 30's, Bob and Phil’s Stage Manager, tends to be a little over-dramatic

* IF you want to be considered for a supporting role you should prepare a Short Up-tempo Broadway Song and, if you want, a 1 Minute Monologue (there will also be a few smaller supporting roles to fill)

ENSEMBLE (large)
*IF you just want to audition for the ensemble please prepare a Short Uptempo Broadway Song. The ensemble will need to large. While auditions will not be limited by again, except for the role of Susan, the ensemble does not really call for children under the high school age.

You can either sing a Song from the Show or other Broadway shows but PLEASE NO ROCK POP SONGS!!!

CALLBACKS-everyone will be sked to have a callback
· Call Backs will consist of everyone learning a short Dance Combination taught by Director/Choreographer
(PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES TO MOVE IN AND IF YOU HAVE CHARACTER OR JAZZ SHOES, PLEASE WEAR THEM AS WELL)

•The Director will also be looking to fill the role of Dance Captain.
•You will learn a small Part of a Song taught by the Musical Director
•If being considered for the Lead and Supporting Speaking Roles you will stay to read Selected Sides from the show.
Scripts are available after October 1st for a 48 hour loan from the Recreation Department, 607 S. Water Street, Sheboygan. Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
