Hound of the Baskervilles
By Tim Kelly, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Directed by David Furumoto
“Horror is prowling the moor once again.'' When the weather heats up this summer, visit UW Madison’s University Theatre for our bone-chilling classic thriller, Hound of the Baskervilles. This adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic Sherlock Holmes adventure transports audiences to the moors of England for a visit to Baskerville Manor. The estate’s newest occupant, Sir Henry, has called on Holmes and dear sidekick, Dr. Watson, to help with a small concern: It appears Sir Henry not only inherited Baskervilles Manor and fortune, but he also received a curse promising certain death at the paws of a legendary beast roaming the countryside. With a grisly hound on the prowl for Sir Henry, Holmes and Watson have only a short time before tragedy strikes Baskervilles Manor once again. Join us for a summer respite and a classic whodunit as you find out the truth behind The Hound of the Baskervilles.
