Henry the Fourth
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Francisco C. Torres
Madison Shakespeare Company continues the Henriad with Henry the Fourth. Henry Bolingbroke wrests control from Richard II only to find his allies turning on him. Henry Percy, known as Hotspur, is shaping up to be a formidable opponent. Prince Hal can barely keep a sober head, let alone buttress his father’s kingship. And, of course, there’s Falstaff to contend with.
Henry the Fourth will be the center of the Shakespeare’s Rarer Monsters season at the Bartell, kicked off by Madison Theatre Guild’s presentation of Titus Andronicus and concluding with Strollers Theatre’s production of The Winter’s Tale.
