GRACELAND is an evening of comedy - both the hilarious kind and the sweeter kind - featuring short works inspired by the life and the larger-than-life of Elvis Presley. Two women vie to be the first person in the door when Presley's Graceland mansion is opened to the public, a young girl tries to make sense of the world according to the wisdom of her Elvis-loving big brother, a lab tech wants to save The King from being cloned, and more. Come be part of an adventurous and rewarding theatrical experience to be performed at the beautiful Portage Center for the Arts.

1 woman, stage age 22,
skinny and naïve, but fiercely loyal and passionate
1 woman, stage age 35+,
not so skinny, brassy and bossy, with a good heartFor ASLEEP ON THE WIND,
a sweetly comic character study by Ellen Byron
1 man, stage age 20-25,
charming and wise, ready to conquer the world
1 girl, stage age 13,
wide-eyed and sharp, devoted to her big brotherAll of these parts will use southern accents and all of the characters are big Elvis fans.
In addition, the show will feature a number of MONOLOGUES inspired by the late icon, some characters male, some female, of varying ages, and not necessarily with accents.
