Funny Money

Henry Perkins accidentally picks up the wrong briefcase--one filled with money--and decides to keep it. It's probably illicit money anyway, he reasons. Knowing its former owner must have his own briefcase, Henry hurries to book a couple of one-way tickets to Barcelona for him and his wife. Before he can get very far, an irate taxi driver, a corrupt police officer, and some well-meaning friends just looking to celebrate his birthday complicate matters considerably in this hilarious farce.

Open auditions for the Waukesha Civic Theatre’s production of Funny Money will be held:

Monday, November 3, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Callbacks, if needed, will be on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.

No appointment is necessary. Auditions will be held at the Waukesha Civic Theatre Building at 264 West Main Street, Waukesha. Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script. If you will not arrive at auditions until 90 minutes after they start, or later, please contact the theatre so the director can be informed.

After Henry accidentally picks up the wrong (money filled!) briefcase, he rushes home to get his wife and book a couple of one-way tickets to Barcelona. But an irate taxi driver, a corrupt policeman, and a fancy birthday dinner all stand in his way in this charming farce.

All roles are open.
There are 2 roles available for women age 20-60. There are 6 roles available for men age 20-60.
