Doubt: A Parable
By John Patrick Shanley
Directed by Miranda McClenaghan
Sister Aloysius is committed to protecting a young boy from the harmful advances of Father Flynn yet he adamantly denies anything inappropriate happened. Set in a Catholic school in the Bronx, this brilliant and raw drama dissects and compares moral certainty with blind suspicion and leaves the audience to discern between the truth, fiction and whatever is left beyond a shadow of a doubt.
“A superb new drama written with an uncanny blend of compassion and detachment…One of the year’s ten best.” New York Times
“A play that is unpreachy, thought-provoking, and so full of high drama that the audience will gasp out loud a half-dozen times.” Wall Street Journal
