Dames at Sea

University Theatre will be presenting Dames at Sea this summer in the Mitchell Theatre. Dames at Sea, best known for bringing Bernadette Peters to fame, is based on the 1930’s Gold Diggers movies. This wonderful musical is filled with divas, rising stars and tap dancing chorus girls, along with songs you will remember such as, “Broadway Baby,” and “Good Time are Here to Stay.”

Auditions will be held on
Friday, April 17 & Saturday, April 18
Dance call at 10:00 Sunday, April 19
(everyone must attend dance call and bring tap shoes)

Please prepare a 2 minute comedic monologue AND 2 songs, 16 bars each. One up-tempo; one ballad (in the style of the show)
(BRING YOUR SHEET MUSIC)

You should be dressed appropriately and bring a headshot or photo of yourself. HEADSHOTS WILL NOT BE RETURNED
