The three MaGrath sisters (Lenny, Meg and Babe) have reunited in the kitchen at Old Granddaddy's home in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, after Babe shoots her abusive husband.

This tragicomedy centers around the memories and tribulations of the MaGrath sisters along with their cousin, the judgmental Chick, Meg's former boyfriend, Doc Porter and Babe's attorney, Barnette.
