Crimes of the Heart
By Beth Henley
Directed by Martin McClendon
Winner, New York Drama Critics Circle Award and Pulitzer Prize. The year is 1974, and in the tiny town of Hazelhurst, Mississippi, Lenny Magrath leads a lonely, frustrating life. Her days are spent laboring at a brickyard; her nights are dedicated to caring for her aging granddaddy. But life takes a surprising turn when her youngest sister Babe is arrested for attempted murder—and on Lenny’s 30th birthday! When middle sister Meg flies in from Los Angeles, the three sisters find themselves wrestling with old flames, new loves, nosy neighbors, family secrets, getting old, and letting go of the past.
