Cinderella Ballet

Cinderella is one of the most popular and melodious ballets, and has inspired a great many choreographers since its inception. The premiere of Cinderella was in 1945, at the Bolshoi Theatre. Cinderella is notable for its jubilant music, lush scenery, and for the comic double-roles of the step-sisters.

Our production will follow the classic ballet and add modern elements to connect with todays performers and audience.

Auditions

Auditions will be held on the following days:

Auditions are open to all community dancers from any school affiliation and at all skill levels. Our goal is for this to be a community wide event with many different studios being represented.

Audition Date: May 1st, 2021
Location: Studio Dansu, 2470 Ski Lane, Madison, WI 53713
Audition Fee: $10 per person
Performance Fee: $75 per person

AUDITION SCHEDULE
"Doors Open" 9:00 a.m.

*Please arrive about 15 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time for registration.

9:30-10:00 am - ages 6-8
10:15-10:45 am - ages 9-11
11:00-11:45 am - ages 12+ (non-pointe)
12:00-12:30 pm - ages 12+ (pointe, also needs to attend the non-pointe audition)
1:00-1:30 pm - Adult Roles (dancers and non-dancers welcome)

Rehearsals begin Saturday, June 26, 2021. Rehearsals are held on Saturdays and Sundays based on performer availability. There will be evening rehearsals at the Overture Center during production week of September 7-10, 2021
