Cabaret
By Masteroff, Kander and Ebb
Directed by Ken Urso, Musically Directed by Thomas Kasdorf
"There was a city called Berlin, in a country called Germany. There was a cabaret, and there was a master of ceremonies. It was the end of the world, and I was dancing with Sally Bowles and we were both fast asleep."
Cabaret remembers a changing Berlin where the Third Reich loomed in the distance. An American writer's life would change forever when he entered the world of the cabaret, home to Sally Bowles. This world is explored through haunting song and dance that comments on the political changes that were about to take place. But all the while the Master of Ceremonies reminds the audience that life is beautiful, and that there are no troubles here. This show is suggested for audiences 12 and older, because of its mature content.
