Based on the Greek tragedy by the same name, Jean Anouilh adapted this classic tale in Nazi?occupied Paris. Antigone tells the tale of a struggle between a young woman and her uncle, the king. By burying her brother, Antigone honors her family but defies her king who seeks to maintain royal authority in a war-torn country.
