Anne of Green Gables
By Peter DeLaurier
Directed by Andrew Sharp
Anne of Green Gables is the story of eleven-year-old Anne Shirley, who is brought from an orphanage to Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert by mistake after they sent for a boy. Anne instantly charms Matthew, who is an old bachelor, with her huge imagination, her never-ending stream of chatter, and her love for the world and the people who inhabit it. Her flighty ways are a trial for the no-nonsense Marilla, as Anne gets in one amusing scrape after another. But one day Marilla realizes - to her surprise - that there is no one she loves more than Anne and that Green Gables would be empty without her.
