A Christmas Story: The Musical is a musical version of the film A Christmas Story. The musical takes place in the 1940s in Indiana and focuses on a child named Ralphie, who wants a Red Ryder Action BB Gun for Christmas.

Auditions will be held on the following days:

Audition Information
Auditions are open to Adults and Students 3rd grade and older.

Auditions will be held as follows:
Dates and Times​: Sunday, September 23 – Check In/Registration 6:00
Monday, September 24 – Check In/Registration 6:00
Monday, September 24 – Callbacks immediately following regular auditions

Location: All auditions will be held at the VACT Building located at 103 Lincoln Street in Verona.
Schedule​: We will start with the child vocal auditions in the order that they check in and then we will do the adult vocal auditions. We will have an optional tap audition for anyone who is interested in a tap dancing role (both children and adults).

Please complete the required online registration form by 12:00pm on the day of auditions and fill out the conflict section as honestly as you can.
o Please bring a recent photo, no larger than 4 x 6.
o Please prepare a vocal piece 30 seconds or less.
o Please bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
o Please bring tap shoes if you are interested in completing the tap audition.

Script pickup will be THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 – 6:00 – 7:00

Regular Rehearsal Schedule will be as follows,
Sundays Starting 9/30 6:30 – 9:00 – Leads Music and Specialty Dance
Mondays Starting 10/1 6:30 – 9:00 – All Call
Thursdays Starting 10/4 – 6:30 – 9:00 – Blocking Rehearsal
