A Christmas Carol
By Charles Dickens
Directed by Angela Morris
WATERTOWN, Wis.—Charles Dickens’ classic tale returns to the stage in late November and early December when Maranatha Baptist Bible College presents A Christmas Carol.
In this beloved story, the audience follows the life-changing experiences of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. The spirit of Marley, his deceased business partner, returns to tell Scrooge that he must meet three spirits that night. The bitter old man then begins the journey of a lifetime into his past, present, and future Christmases. Along the way, Scrooge learns what his fate will be if he does not change his ways.
David Hockman, who portrayed Scrooge in 2009, will retain that role. The cast of more than 50 also includes many actors from the Watertown community as well as Maranatha students.
Performance dates are Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 6, 7, and 8 at 7 p.m. Saturday afternoon matinees will take place at 2 p.m. Dec. 1 and Dec. 8.
