900" is a two person, modern day romantic comedy about the phone sex industry. Written by Rob Matsushita ("Hitler Was Right", "Orange Murder Suit", "1 SW33T R1DE") and directed by Kathy Lynn Sliter ("Welcome to the Terrordome", "Squirrels- an evening of Don Nigro", "Lucifer's Child"), "900" follows a real time phone call between Ben, new to his home and single status, and Gus, who pays the bills employed in the sex industry. Ben is looking for more than sex, however, and Gus is far from being the free and easy college student she sometimes portrays over the phone.
Character DescriptionsGus (f) - early 20's-early 30's. Whip-smart, business minded. Oddly private, considering her current means of employment.
Ben (m) - 30-40. Intelligent and down-to-earth. Playful and curious, but wounded. Just looking for a connection, and picks an unconventional place for it.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please come in comfortable clothing and prepared to move.
Digital (pdf) copies of the script are available upon request. Please email mr6@yahoo.com if you want a copy.
