House Theatre Madison
The House Theatre strives to involve young performers in a collaborative, creative environment that fosters a respect for the process and a passion for the work.
The House Theatre was conceived by Edgewood High School alumni and faculty. Beginning as “The Church Basement Theater” in the summer of 2011, its first production of The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged, produced and directed by Charlotte Martin was a rousing success. The following summer collaborations expanded and The House Theatre was born. Past seasons include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in 2012 and Godspell in 2013, The Drowsy Chaperone in 2014, and Urinetown in 2015.
